smell that? that's the sweet smell of the nymphtress on holiday!

that's right folks, after a long hard year, i'm taking a week of annual leave. what am i doing with all this free time? well, i got a massage, some acupuncture, lounged in the sun, went for a swim, did some runs, video chatted, crosswords, read a girlie mag, pedicure, waxing, got dressed up, got undressed, pet the kat, took a nap... summer vacation stuff!

things i should do: work on my resume, clean the bathroom, do some home filing, work on my serve (j and i are playing tennis lately, i would like to sneak away and play the wall so i can whoop his ass next game!... competitive? qui moi!?)

it's too hot now to type much so i'll give you a brief run down of the last month or so...

dec 19 - 2 year anniversary, lovely dinner in south bank, lovelovelove... i even wore my wedding dress! (the beach one, not the gown)
dec 24 - christmas eve, on the beach, surfing fun! family tradition dictates finger foods and cheese platters for dinner on this day, plus one christmas present opened... we opened the one from minou... a new board game!
dec 25 - beach again, with a&g and their 'rents. lazy day. got good pressies, tennis dress (very hot!) and perfume... i am *so* spoilt!
dec 26 - went to toowoomba to visit my relatives. sweet church people. 'nuff said.
dec 31 - spent new year's eve, the countdown, in surfer's paradise on the gold coast. then drove to mount warning to hike the mountain, the first place in australia to get the sun's rays. now, we saw the sunrise from the side of the mountain, didn't make it to the top in time, but it was a beautiful hike and stunning views when the clouds were kind enough to part.
jan 1 - drove down to kingscliff after descending the mountain. on the way down the mountain we saw 2 pythons, in the river mouth at kingscliff we saw 2 dolphins, while snorkelling we saw 2 lionfish. i took this as an omen and am being very careful with my pills cause if i get knocked up this year, we're having twins! *giggle*

work was $hitty to return to after so few days off. that's why i booked this vacation. needed to clear my head and refocus. it's kinda working. another week would be great! but that's unlikely!

things at home are great. i don't feel like cooking today cause it's too hot and i'll probably cop a whinge from the man but wtvr... i did some laundry. i made the bed. i swept and mopped last week. again, 'nuff said.
